City of West Melbourne Precautionary Boil Water Notice, 11-2-2026: We have been advised by the City of Melbourne, which supplies drinking water to the City of West Melbourne, that a precautionary boil water notice has been issued for residents of the City of West Melbourne water service area living south of US 192 and east of Hollywood Boulevard. A water main break has occurred, but its exact location is unknown at this time. Crews are working to locate the break and make repairs as quickly as possible.
As a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.
This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and testing confirms that the water is safe to drink. You will receive another notification at that time.
