A Precautionary boil water notice has been issued for residents of the City of Melbourne water service area living south of Hwy US 192 between Hollywood Blvd and Hwy US 1/ Harbor City Blvd.  A water main break has occurred, but its exact location is unknown at this time. Crews are working to locate the break and make repairs as quickly as possible.

As a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled.  A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.  As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and testing confirms that the water is safe to drink. You will receive another notification at that time.

If you have any questions or for more information, please call City of Melbourne Public Works & Utilities Administration office at 321-608-5000, or the after-hours emergency number 321-255-4622 or visit https://www.melbourneflorida.org/Government/Departments/Public-Works-Utilities/Water-Quality/Precautionary-Boil-Water-Notices-FAQs.
