A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for the following addresses:04, 3558, 3556, 3659, and 3667 S. Hopkins Ave9, 410, 414, 450, 490, and 425 Garden Street10, 12, 18, 20, 22, 26 Lemon St400 and 310 Orange AveAt approximately 2:30 P.M. on Monday October 5, 2026, the water main that serves the residences at the addresses listed above was shut off to make repairs to a broken water main on Garden Street. The main has been returned to service and this notice is issued as a precautionary measure only.

Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil for one minute is sufficient. Allow water to cool down before drinking. As an alternative bottled water may be used.

Your water is safe for bathing, laundering, and other non-consumptive uses.

This Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey confirms that the water is safe to drink. Notices will be issued to all residences when the Precautionary Boil Water Notice has been rescinded. This Notice is anticipated to be rescinded by Thursday, October 8, 2026. However, all water for consumption should continue to be boiled until rescinding notices are received.
