Palm Bay Water Restored After Port Malabar Main Break; Boil Water Notice Remains
Water is back on after a main break on Port Malabar Blvd NE, but affected Palm Bay customers remain under a precautionary boil water notice.
Water service has been restored to Palm Bay customers affected by a water main break along Port Malabar Boulevard NE, but a Precautionary Boil Water Notice remains in effect for the affected area, the City of Palm Bay Utilities Department said in an update Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Until the notice is lifted, affected customers should bring all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes to a rolling boil for at least one minute before use. Bottled water may be used instead.
The city said the notice will stay in place until required water quality testing confirms the water is safe to drink and the city officially rescinds it.
