McGriff Skate Park to Close Oct. 5 for Two-Month Rehabilitation
Palm Bay's McGriff Skate Park closes Oct. 5 for ramp repairs and recoating, with reopening expected in December 2026.
McGriff Skate Park will close to the public starting Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, for a comprehensive rehabilitation project, the City of Palm Bay announced.
The skate park, located at 1146 De Groodt Road SW, will be closed in its entirety while the city's Parks & Facilities Department carries out the work. According to the city, crews will perform extensive surface preparation, make repairs and recoat the park's ramps and structures. The full closure is intended to protect both residents and work crews.
The project is expected to take about two months, with the city anticipating a reopening in December 2026. Officials cautioned that the schedule could change because of weather, material availability or unforeseen conditions.

The city thanked the community for its patience while the improvements are completed. Residents are asked to respect all construction barriers and closure signs and to stay outside the work area during the project.
