Team Cocoa is back yet again to compete against Rockledge in the Cocoa vs. Rockledge Annual Food Drive. Each year, the City of Cocoa partners with the Sharing Center of Central Brevard to support individuals and families in need this holiday season. Team Cocoa will be collecting non-perishable food, toiletry items, paper towels, toilet paper, and/or baby supplies at various events and locations throughout the month of November.
The Sharing Center of Central Brevard was established as a nonprofit in 1978. Even then, with a small all-volunteer team, they strive to be the best provider of basic needs in Brevard County. Today, the organization is a core resource for Central Brevard, providing food items, hot meals, clothing, household and hygiene items, financial assistance, and connections to additional resources.
Proud partners of Team Cocoa are Historic Cocoa Village Main Street, Cocoa Police and Fire Department, Cocoa Leisure Services, Mike Erdman Toyota, Cocoa Walmart, Publix, and Sam’s Club, and hopefully you! Residents, businesses, and community partners are encouraged to join Team Cocoa and donate throughout the friendly competition. Supporting the food drive will help families within our community throughout the next couple months so they can celebrate with the holiday spirit.
