City of Melbourne Code Enforcement officers are contacting local political campaigns to remind them of city rules regarding placement of temporary noncommercial/political signs.
City Code Enforcement officers are asking all candidates to relocate any errant signs.
The city’s sign code’s primary purpose is to ensure public safety. For example, signs in the right-of-way and those placed too close to the road can distract drivers or obstruct their view.
