To help prevent flooding and ensure yard waste is collected efficiently, please follow these simple guidelines when placing debris at the curb:

Where Should I Place my Yard Waste?

Keep debris out of the road, swales, ditches, gutters, and storm drains. These areas are needed to carry stormwater during heavy rain.

Do not block water meters, mailboxes, fire hydrants, utility poles, or low-hanging power lines.

Place debris just behind the curb in a safe location where it can be easily collected. If located where there are drainage ditches, please ensure that debris is not in the drainage ditch and not impeding the right of way.

Vegetative debris (tree branches, leaves, shrubs, palm fronds, etc.)

Construction and demolition materials (fencing, lumber, drywall, roofing materials, etc.)

Cut tree limbs and branches into pieces no longer than 4 feet and under 50 pounds each.

Do not place loose leaves or grass clippings in plastic bags unless specifically directed by your waste collection provider.

Keep hazardous materials, chemicals, paint, and lithium-ion batteries separate from all yard waste. These items require special disposal and should never be placed in regular yard waste piles.

Should I Call Waste Pro for Collection?

If you have a large pile of vegetative debris that will need a claw truck, residents are encouraged to call Waste Pro to request a claw pickup. Waste Pro will then schedule the claw truck to pick up your debris as soon as possible.

Thank you for helping keep our community clean, safe, and prepared for Florida's rainy season. By following these guidelines, you help reduce flooding, protect our stormwater system, and ensure debris can be collected as quickly and efficiently as possible.
